Counter Clerk Position
As a counter clerk you are the face of our business. Assisting clients when they come in the door; you will learn about and be able to sell unique cuts of beef, pork, lamb and chicken and you will learn about all of our various types of sausage and other value added products.
You will be responsible for front of house maintenance, keeping signage in order as well as light shop responsibilities including clean up, packaging, tear down, set up and other things as they come up to the shop.
This position is available part time for the time being – Wednesday to Friday afternoons and day shifts on Saturdays.
Required Skills:

Customer Service Oriented – enjoys working with the public

Enjoys cooking and learning about food and our food system

Ability to stand for entire duration of the shift, daily.

Ability to lift 50 lbs at a time

Ability to listed and take critique in order to better develop product knowledge

Working in a butcher shop is not a cake walk. It is physically demanding every day. It is standing 8 hours + every day. It is cold hands and sharp edges.
